Memories from Tillye Cornman

My impression is that Solomon came first and that Miriam followed with 4 children, Anna the youngest.  I was told that they followed six months later.  During the trip Miriam was worried that the boys (Isadore and Israel) could fall overboard while running and playing.

She brought with her a trunk, large pillows (much larger than king size), a samovar and a gold watch on a chain -ladies- style.

Also in New Orleans were Miriam's father Leon, his brother Harry Hershberg, her sister Lena 'Lara' Katz.
